FAQs

Our products

Do you make your own products?

Yes, all of our products are baked and printed from scratch in our family run bakery in Chorley, Lancashire. We never use industrial mixes so you can be sure that you will be receiving ‘cake shop’ quality and taste.

How are your products made?

We bake our products from scratch using only high quality ingredients and traditional recipes. We understand that your product is being used as a gift or for an occasion and expect a ‘cake shop’ taste.

I have a specific dietary requirement – can you cater for it?

We pride ourselves on the quality of products we produce and unfortunately, there are some dietary requirements we are unable to cater for at the moment.

Nuts – We do not use any nuts in baking our products. However, some of the ingredients we use may have been manufactured in an environment that is exposed to nuts.

Gluten Free – We can provide full size cakes and vanilla or lemon cupcakes with a gluten free recipe. We do not manufacture gluten free biscuits or flapjacks.

If there are certain ingredients that you can’t eat, check out our ingredients page for detailed information on what is in all of our delicious products.

What size are your cupcakes?

Our cupcakes are a standard size. We do not make ‘mini’ cupcakes.

How long will they stay fresh?

Cakes and cupcakes will remain in good condition for up to 1 week if kept packaged and stored at room temperature.

Biscuits should last up to 2 months from dispatch. Please see the best before date on your product once it arrives.

Flapjack will be best kept up to 1 month. Please see the best before date on your product once it arrives.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express through PayPal. You don’t need to have a PayPal account to pay through PayPal.

Can I change my images once I’ve placed my order?

Unfortunately, we are unable to amend images once the order has been placed.

I haven’t received an email confirming my order. Will I get one?

You should receive a confirmation email within one hour of placing your order (and also a shipping confirmation once your order gets dispatched). You should also receive an email detailing the images we have captured for your order.

If you haven’t received these, it might be worth checking your spam or junk inbox. Alternatively, it could be a typo when creating your account. Get in touch with us on enquiries@eatmyphoto.co.uk and we’ll get a copy sent out.

Will any information about the price be sent with my order?

As our products are often used as gifts (what lucky people!), we never send invoice information with the order.

How will it be packaged?

We have worked hard to ensure your products get to you in perfect condition. They are all sent as FRAGILE DELIVERY via our trusted couriers to ensure they are handled with care through the delivery process.

Cupcakes – Cupcakes are couriered to you in specially designed 15 pack trays to ensure they arrive in the best condition.

Biscuits & Flapjacks- Our biscuits will arrive with you in trays of 6. They are then packaged securely using protective wrapping for couriering to your front door.

Full Cakes – Full cakes will arrive in individual boxes which have been lovingly packed by our team.

Where is my parcel?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to take responsibility for any delays on the part of our couriers. But if there are any problems, we’ll do our best to let you know as soon as we can. All deliveries are trackable. Any problems please email us on enquiries@eatmyphoto.co.uk

Will it fit through the door?

To make sure your items get to you in tip top condition, they are securely wrapped to limit our products arriving looking anything less than the best for your occasion. This means that our products won’t fit through the letterbox – you wouldn’t want flat or squashed cupcakes now, would you?!

Will I have to sign for the package?

As your parcel is sent by courier, a signature will be required.

You can always email us delivery instructions when you place your order, so you can ask for your parcel to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour. But bear in mind, though, that if you do this, and the delivery person doesn’t get a signature, we’re not able to take responsibility for any loss or damage.

What if I’m not home?

The couriers will send you an email and text on the day of your delivery. If you won’t be at home, we recommend arranging for the parcel to be delivered to a neighbour or safe place. Our couriers have a policy of destroying food items after a failed delivery attempt.

How much is delivery?

Delivery will depend on the size of your order and time of delivery. The table below is a guide on shipping costs to based on order size and time of delivery.
